Mixing Academy Scholarship - Official Terms

These terms govern the Mixing Academy Scholarship (the "Scholarship"), run by Big Z Studios ("we," "us"). By submitting an application, you agree to these terms. If you don't agree, please don't apply.
No purchase necessary
The Scholarship is free to enter. No purchase is necessary, and buying anything will not improve your chances of being selected.
Eligibility
To apply, you must:
- Be at least 18 years old at the time you apply.
- Submit a complete, accurate application through the official form at bigzcourses.com/scholarship.
- Provide a valid email address that you check regularly.
The course is taught in English. You don't have to be a native speaker, but you should be comfortable learning in English. Employees of Big Z Studios and their immediate family members are not eligible. The Scholarship is void where prohibited or restricted by law. You are responsible for making sure you're allowed to enter where you live.
How to enter
- Entry period: opens June 28 and closes July 12.
- Applications submitted after the deadline will not be considered.
- One application per person. Duplicate, incomplete, fraudulent, or automated entries may be disqualified.
How winners are selected
This is a merit- and need-based selection, not a random drawing. We will choose ten (10) winners based on the information in each application - including the applicant's goals, experience, the music they share, and their reasons for applying. Selection is made at the sole discretion of Big Z Studios, and all decisions are final.
Notification
Winners will be announced on or around July 19 and notified by email at the address provided on their application. If a selected winner does not respond within 7 days of being contacted, they may forfeit the prize, and we may select an alternate winner.
The prize
Each winner receives full, lifetime access to the Mixing Academy course, including all lessons, downloadable stems, cheat sheets, and access to the course community. Approximate value: $249 per winner.
The prize is non-transferable, cannot be exchanged or substituted, and has no cash value. Any taxes or charges that may apply to receiving the prize are the winner's responsibility.
Publicity
If you are selected, you agree that we may announce and feature you as a Scholarship winner - including your first name, country, and the music or links you shared - on our website, email, and social channels, without further notice or compensation. If you'd prefer not to be featured, let us know when we contact you.
How we use your information
We collect the information in your application to run the Scholarship - to review entries, select winners, and notify applicants of the results.
Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access, correct, or request deletion of your data - contact us at zach@bigzstudios.com to do so. We don't sell your information.
General conditions
We reserve the right to modify, suspend, extend, or cancel the Scholarship if fraud, technical failure, or any other factor outside our reasonable control affects how it's run. We may disqualify any entry that violates these terms or is submitted in bad faith.
To the fullest extent permitted by law, Big Z Studios is not liable for any loss or damage arising from your participation in the Scholarship or your use of the prize. The course is provided "as is."
Not affiliated with social platforms
The Scholarship is not sponsored, endorsed, administered by, or associated with Instagram, YouTube, TikTok, Meta, or any other platform where you may have seen it promoted.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of Pennsylvania, without regard to conflict-of-law rules. Any dispute will be handled in the courts located there.
